the trauma team took really great care of him. The doctor's main concern was that he was bleeding internally. he had an aortic stent surgery to stop the bleeding, and that went very well. He will be in the ICU for a couple days while they monitor his blood pressure and make sure his spleen does not start bleeding again after being lacerated in the accident, and to make sure everything is healing properly. He has some pretty bad breaks that will need to be addressed in the next few days as well (right knee/leg, left hand; as well as fractured sternum and hip bone which will just take time) For now he is conscious but resting most the time.
