This fundraiser is to help raise money for the Tyree family after a tragic house fire that occurred May 3rd, 2026.

Due to an electrical fire that started in the middle of the night, my mother, Wanda Tyree, is facing the possible complete loss of her house and almost all of her belongings.

My mother woke up to smoke and flames roaring through the kitchen and while she and the two family pets did manage to make it out of the house safely, she only made it out with the clothes on her back and purse. Because of her four recent hip surgeries, she was sleeping downstairs and able to quickly make her way out of the front door. There was no time to grab any personal items, photos, or mementos but the loss is deeper than physical items. My mom has owned the house since 2008 and we have made thousands of memories there and in the neighborhood. My entire childhood lives in that house and we’re reeling in the loss of our beloved home.

My mom, and the animals, are now displaced for the foreseeable future and we’re unsure that anything at all is salvageable. We do know that the damage is severe, the loss is significant, and the road ahead will require help- for replacing basics and essentials, acquiring temporary housing accommodations, taking care of her animals, and my mom rebuilding her life from scratch.

My mom, Wanda, has always been such a strong and independent woman that lights up the lives of those around her, but she needs the support of others in such a difficult time. Every donation will go directly toward helping my mom get back on her feet and provide some stability.
