Help Support Tyler’s Stroke Recovery

Hello everyone, I am writing to you on behalf of my son Tyler.

He is 30 years old and recently suffered a stroke on July 15, 2025. He was unable to move his right side, speak or communicate. He has come a long way in the first 8 weeks of his recovery, but has a long journey ahead of him. His recovery has been a roller coaster of emotions from small triumphs to medical setbacks.

Tyler is currently an inpatient at a rehab facility and has been working with occupational, physical and speech therapy 6 days a week. He will continue with this plan for the next 6-7 weeks. As of now the next phase is unknown.

To say the rug has been pulled out from under him is an understatement with this life changing event. Tyler has been working hard during therapy, even when frustrated or not feeling well! He is able to walk short distances while using a cane. He is becoming more aware and understanding of his situation. However, along with this comes frustration with not being able to get words out to communicate or to use his right arm to do daily tasks.

Financial security has always been a priority for Tyler. At this time, we are uncertain of how long his recovery will be or when he may return to work. To help relieve some of the anxiety and stress about the financial aspects of all of this, I felt the need to reach out and ask for help on his behalf.

Your financial donation will be extremely helpful for Tyler’s increasing obligations including his monthly medical premiums, medical out-of-pocket maximum, equipment he may need, and monthly living expenses.

We truly appreciate all of the support we have already received! We don’t know how long this journey will be, but we will keep moving forward with the hope of a full recovery.
