Help Support the Workers of Reconsidered Goods
Donation protected
Anyone who’s been around the arts scene in Greensboro knows Reconsidered Goods, knows our mission, knows our community. Many of the workers, without whom RG could not operate, are chronically food insecure, unable to pay bills, and at risk of homelessness. We’ve been bearing these challenges because we believe in the mission, care about the work, and love the community.
The people who make Reconsidered Goods are the workers who greet you at the register, who carry your purchases to your car, who accept your donations with their own hands, who work with our volunteers, run our events, and create our educational programs. They’re the people who need your support.
The Reconsidered Goods Workers’ Union is humbly reaching out to our community. We’ve been pooling resources to help each other for a long time, but there’s only so much we can do on our own. If you’ve ever gone to Reconsidered Goods, to shop, donate, or volunteer, to go to a class or check out an event, anything, now is the time to show support for the people who really make this all possible. If you can spare even a dollar, or share our mutual aid post on social media, it could go a long way for the employees who are fighting for change.
In the spirit of mutual aid and accountability, we’re going to be donating any funds left over at the end of our campaign to other local orgs and artists who might need help.
We want to thank all of you for everything you’ve already done, and promise that we’re going to do everything we can to make Reconsidered Goods an organization you can be proud to support.
