We are reaching out with heavy hearts to support a beautiful family going through the unimaginable.

Sam Stead—beloved husband to Emma and devoted dad to 8-year-old twins, Grayson and Charlotte—recently suffered a seizure at work and was rushed to hospital. After urgent tests, doctors discovered a large brain tumour. Sam is scheduled for brain surgery on Monday, July 28, and even with surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, his current prognosis is just 18 months.

This shocking news has turned the Steads’ world upside down.

Sam had only just returned to work after spending four years recovering from a major spinal injury and surgery. Emma, a compassionate and hardworking part-time nurse, is now facing the heartbreaking reality of caring for her husband and children while navigating the long and difficult road ahead.

With no extended family here in Australia, Emma and the children are facing this journey without the support network many of us rely on.

Due to the severity of Sam’s condition and symptoms, Emma will be unable to increase her work hours, as Sam will need constant care and won’t be able to care for Grayson and Charlotte alone.

We are raising funds to help ease the immense financial burden this diagnosis has placed on the family. Your support will go toward:
