Help Support the Needy in Rural Bangladesh

Donation protected
Hello everyone – peace and blessings to you all,

This September, I’ll be travelling to Bangladesh with my father and uncles to visit family in our country of origin. While we're there, we plan to give direct support to those in need, especially in rural areas where poverty is deeply rooted.

To help us reach more families and make a greater impact, I’ve created this fundraising page for anyone who wishes to join us in supporting vulnerable communities in Bangladesh.

Why Bangladesh?

While Bangladesh has made real progress in reducing poverty, millions still face daily struggles—especially in remote and rural areas like Sylhet, where we will be based.

Key Facts:

• 24.3% of the population lives below the national poverty line (2024)

• Around 12.9% live in extreme poverty, surviving on less than $1.90 per day

• Frequent natural disasters (floods, cyclones) make life even harder

• Many families lack access to clean water, healthcare, shelter, and education

• A large number rely on daily wages, making them vulnerable to illness, inflation, or weather-related disruptions

How Your Donations Will Help

We will personally deliver 100% of the funds raised to those who need it most.

Your donations will go towards:

• Food packs and daily essentials
• Clothing and blankets
• Medical expenses and urgent care
• Support for orphans, widows, and the elderly

Even a small amount can make a big difference for a family in need.

A Personal Touch

We would also like to give something back to those who support this cause.

If you’d like, feel free to share any personal intentions, wishes, or prayer requests with us. As we travel, we will carry them with us and sincerely keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

For those who take comfort in faith, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“Three supplications are never rejected: the prayer of a parent, the prayer of a fasting person, and the prayer of a traveller.”

(Tirmidhi 3448)

And in the Qur’an, Allah reminds us:

“Whatever you spend in good is [to be] for parents, relatives, orphans, the needy, and travellers. Whatever good you do – Allah is fully aware of it.”

(Qur’an 2:215)

Thank You

Whether you're giving from a place of faith, compassion, or shared humanity, your support means the world to us and to the families we’ll be helping.

Together, we can bring hope and relief to people who need it most on this trip.

With gratitude,

Khaled Hussain & Family
