Cody and Bina have spent the last several years making a tremendous impact on the lives of numerous teenagers by serving as youth pastors at Alive Church and now they need our support.

You see with the exciting announcement of being pregnant with little Arthur that they share with us a few months ago also came news of some rare complications that require expensive medical care. With this complication comes many unexpected medical bills and ongoing expenses. They will need to spend a significant amount of their time traveling to and from Phoenix, where Arthur will be receiving treatment. While I am hopeful for the future in and through this, there are many variables that only God knows. I want to ask you to join me in supporting this incredible couple through this journey. All of the funds will be used for their medical expenses, transportation, lodging, food, gas, etc. We are raising money to cover the known costs as well as any unforeseen expenses that may come up along this journey. And please join me in praying for their health, comfort, and provision as they walk through this together.

Hello friends, family, and faithful supporters.

 

We are expecting the newest addition to our family, our little boy Arthur James, on March 3rd, 2022. In mid-October, we discovered that he has a cyst that is growing on his brain, and that was just the beginning of the roller coaster ride we’ve been on. We now know he has a very rare condition called AVID syndrome (Asymmetric ventriculomegaly, inter-hemispheric cyst, and dysgenesis of the corpus callosum).

 

With this condition, we are expecting a lot of hospital care, therapies, and surgeries to place a shunt on his brain as well as other issues that may arise. Physical and occupational therapies will hopefully help him learn basic skills like coordination, walking, and talking. As we learn more about his condition we will update the expected care plan. Leading up to the delivery day we will have many tests and scans to monitor his safety and find out all we can about how to best care for him. We will be watching how fast his brain is swelling to see how early he will need to be delivered in order to give him the best chance possible.
