Hello, my name is Wafa, and I am fundraising for my brother and his family who are Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
Background story: I grew up in Syria. I have three brothers and two sisters. I come from a lovely household where everything was normal before the war. My father went to work, and my mother raised me and my siblings. When the Syrian war began in 2011, my family and I were all divided. In the harsh time, I lost my father, which left my mother a single mom with 6 children. My mother, 3 siblings and I migrated as refugees into Lebanon leaving my 1 brother into a different country. Following my father's death, one of my brothers, Imad, who went to Lebanon, has become a father figure to me. He is currently married and has two children. Around five years ago, I met Adam, a wonderful little infant boy. Who happens to be the son of my brother. I couldn't believe it when I found out I was an aunt. After eight years of suffering and relocation, leaving the conflict in Syria and the bombs falling on our heads, my nephew Adam was born, the first pleasure in our family's existence. We adored him above everything else, and he is the center of our collective attention He's the small person with a lot of huge thoughts and questions, and he's full of enthusiasm and energy. Adam never had the opportunity to complete his education since he and his family are unable to return to their nation for fear of imprisonment and death, and they are living illegally in Lebanon in a hot tin can in the summer, as well as the cold winter weather. I am requesting your assistance in saving the children's future by giving to Adam and his younger sister Tulai, whom I have yet to meet and who is two years old. We intend to raise 30,000 dollars to sponsor them to come to Canada for them to acquire identification documents and enter the country. This will keep my family secure and allow them to enjoy a peaceful life. I am afraid they will fail to keep my brother's children safe and are scared they will be injured due to the absence of Lebanon's safety protections for their refugees there. I ask you all to please donate what you can, this will mean so much to me and my family.
Kind regards to you all.
