My name is Yurika Tarui, and I am the proud daughter of a doctor working on the frontlines of COVID-19. I am raising money to support the healthcare workers of Tufts Medical Center who need to find accommodations near the hospital to fight this pandemic and protect our community.
To prepare for the surge in patients predicted in the next few weeks, Tufts Medical Center has designated four wards to treat COVID-19 patients. Healthcare workers from across the hospital, including my father, have been called to staff rotating weekly shifts in these wards, helping patients battle this virus. Some of these healthcare workers need temporary lodging near the hospital to prevent spreading COVID-19 to their loved ones and communities who are at high risk. However, they are independently responsible for covering these expenses out of pocket.
Supporting our healthcare workers allows them to protect their families and communities while dedicating their time to saving as many lives as possible during this pandemic.
I am raising money with this campaign to help alleviate the financial burden on our healthcare workers who are already sacrificing to keep us safe; all money raised will go directly to the workers at Tufts Medical Center. You can help by donating or spreading the word to assist us in achieving this goal. Every dollar counts!

新型コロナウイルス病棟で働くタフツ医療センタースタッフの宿泊代のサポートのお願い
皆様こんにちは。アメリカ、ボストン在住の産婦人科医、樽井智子と申します。
ニュースでお聞き及びかと思いますが、私が住むマサチューセッツ州ボストン周辺では、今、新型コロナウィルスの感染が急速に広がっています。
4月1日、マサチューセッツ州で、今日一日で新たに陽性と確認された方は1118名（計7738名）、新たな死者33名（計122名）と、爆発的な増加となっております。
私と夫が勤務しているボストンのチャイナタウンにあるタフツ医療センターでも、新型コロナウイルス感染者の救命を最優先課題として、皆が一団となって対応、治療に当たっています。
感染者急増に伴い新設された、４つの新型コロナウイルス専門病棟では、感染症専門医ではない医療スタッフも動員して、１週間交代のシフトで、感染者の治療に当たっています。
夫もその一員として、今後、１週間交代制で、治療に当たります。
この未知の新型コロナウイルスと戦っている医療スタッフは、自分で気がつかずに家にウイルスを持ち帰り、ハイリスクグループに分類される家族や、周囲の人々を感染させてしまうことを、とても恐れています。
それを防ぐためには、シフトの間は、可能であれば自宅に帰らずに、病院近辺の宿泊施設に寝泊まりすることが望ましいのですが、本来ならば国、州、市、そして病院が負担すべき宿泊代は全て自腹で払わなければなりません。
病院、ボストン市、マサチューセッツ州、そしてホテルチェーンなどが、新型コロナウイルス患者の治療に当たる医療従事者に、無料で宿泊施設を提供する様になるまでの間、皆様に、是非、この宿泊費のサポートのためのご寄付をお願いできればと思います。
