Help Support Ziv and Gali Berman and their Family
Donation protected
We need your support to assist the family of Ziv and Gali Berman, twin brothers who were kidnapped on October 7th 2023 from Kibbutz Kfar Aza. Now 27 years old, Ziv and Gali were not only beloved members of their family and community but also passionate fans of Maccabi Tel Aviv. They have now been away from their family for over a year, and their abduction has left their loved ones in deep distress. You can follow updates to their story on Instagram: @bring_ziv_and_gali_home.
Ziv and Gali’s parents, Talia and Doron, along with their brother Idan, were also on the kibbutz at the time of the attack. Although they survived the attack, the ongoing crisis has left Talia and Idan unemployed. Doron, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, is unable to work, adding to the family’s financial and emotional burdens.
Their other brother, Liran, has quit his job to focus entirely on advocating for Ziv and Gali, as well as other hostages taken during the same attack. He has been tirelessly working to bring global attention to their plight, meeting with world leaders such as Speaker Mike Johnson, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and others to seek support and pressure for their release.
The funds raised will help alleviate the financial strain on the family, allowing them to continue their crucial advocacy work without the added worry of financial burdens. Additionally, once Ziv and Gali are safely home, the family is unlikely to want to return to the kibbutz where their homes have been destroyed and they will need to rebuild their lives from scratch including replacing most of their possessions.
In this time of hardship, the strength and unity of our community have never been more important. As we come together to support the Berman family, we are reminded of the biblical principle:
"כָּל-יִשְׂרָאֵל עֲרֵבִים זֶה לָזֶה"
"All of Israel is responsible for one another."
(Talmud, Shevuot 39a)
Please contribute to help support the Berman family. Your compassion and assistance are crucial to their ability to recover. Every donation, regardless of size, will make a significant impact by demonstrating that our community stands strong and united, and by offering hope and relief during this challenging time.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Note to donors:
The Sheff, Osher and Rothstein families are leading this campaign on behalf of our cousins the Berman's. 100% of the proceeds will be distributed by the organizer Allan Sheff to the Berman family to support their needs during this difficult time, including living expenses while they remain unemployed and to cover rebuilding expenses as they try to rebuild from the devastation and destruction of their homes and personal property.
