Help James Fight for His Life
Our dear friend James Falley is fighting for his life.
James, a devoted father of three and a loving partner to Brooke, is currently in the hospital on ECMO, a machine that’s keeping his heart and lungs working while he waits for a transplant. Just two weeks ago, he was the dad taking his son Noah to Mets spring training and WWE events, talking baseball stats like they were gospel, and working hard to grow a new business he was proud of. Then everything changed.
James went into the hospital for what began as a heart procedure, but it quickly became life-threatening. He’s undergone multiple major surgeries, including a double bypass. Each time doctors have tried to let his heart beat on its own, it hasn’t been strong enough. Now ECMO is doing the work his body can’t, keeping him alive while he waits for a donor heart. The risks have been enormous, and recovery could take months or even a year.
Before one of the riskiest surgeries of his life, when fear was written across everyone’s faces, James tried to ease the tension the only way he knew how. He smiled and said, “I can’t die yet. The Mets still haven’t won a World Series.” That one line captures who he is—funny, brave, and defiant even in the face of something unthinkable.
Everything James does is for Brooke and his three children, Emma, Noah, and JJ. The Disney photo above says it all: his world right there, smiling beside him. He’s the dad who never misses a baseball game or a bedtime story, no matter what it takes. Missing Noah’s first kid-pitch game while in a medically induced coma was heartbreaking, because showing up for his kids is what defines him.
James recently started a new company that hasn’t had the chance to take off. With him unable to work, his family is facing serious financial strain on top of unimaginable stress. Donations will help cover household bills, childcare, travel to and from the hospital, and the long recovery ahead. Brooke will be managing the funds and providing updates as James continues to fight.
James isn’t just fighting for his life. He’s fighting to come home, to watch his kids grow up, to celebrate birthdays, to see the Mets finally win that long-awaited World Series. His friends have rallied around his family, but now we’re asking for help from anyone who can give it.
Please donate, share this campaign, and keep James and his family in your thoughts and prayers. We’ll continue to post updates as he progresses. The day he wakes up, smiles that familiar smile, and cracks another joke will be a day we’ll never forget.
From everyone who loves him, thank you for helping keep James’s heart beating until he gets his new one.
