Help Support the Dugan Family Through Their Time of Loss

Donation protected

On the tragic day of May 5th, 2024, our family faced an unimaginable loss. Diamond Dugan, a beloved mother, wife, and cherished niece whom we raised as our daughter after the passing of my sister, succumbed to a heart attack during the 36th week of her surrogate pregnancy. Diamond was only 32 years old, a vibrant soul whose generosity extended beyond her immediate family to others dreaming of parenthood.

Diamond’s kindness led her to become a surrogate, and she carried her role with grace and love, eagerly planning to support more families this way in the future. Our beautiful girl left behind her childhood sweetheart and devoted husband, Mike, and their four wonderful children, aged 2, 4, 8, and 11.

Mike and Diamond had a clear vision for their family. Diamond was the primary earner, and Mike, the stay-at-home dad, dedicated himself to the nurturing and upbringing of their children in their loving home. This sudden tragedy has severely disrupted their plans, placing an unforeseen financial burden on Mike as he grapples with grief and the immediate need to care for their young family. His responsibilities of running a household, parenting, and coping with their recent loss are immense.

Fortunately, the baby boy whom Diamond carried for eight months was delivered and resuscitated by a trauma team on May 5th. He is still under hospital care and in stable condition. Unfortunately, he is not out of the woods but has his loving parents by his side.

We are reaching out to ask for your support to help the Dugan family during this challenging time. Your donation will contribute towards immediate living expenses, eventual childcare, and educational needs for the children, helping to stabilize their situation as they face these heartbreaking challenges.

Please consider donating, no matter the size, to assist the Dugan family in coping with their significant loss and financial strain. Your support will provide not only financial relief but also a sense of community and kindness that is desperately needed.

Thank you for your generosity and for holding the Dugan family and the little boy our Diamond brought into this world in your thoughts and prayers.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Keith D. Dorsey
