Hi, my name is Aisling, and together with my daughter Sue, I will be travelling to Kenya to volunteer at the CARA Girls Rescue Centre, which supports disadvantaged girls aged 9 to 18.
Watching my own three teenage girls grow up with so many opportunities has made me feel a deep connection to girls who don’t have the same access to shelter, education, healthcare, and resources. The CARA Project is making a huge difference in their lives, giving them safety, hope, and the chance of a brighter future.
One of the initiatives that inspires me most is GirlBoss — a program that teaches young mothers practical skills such as sewing and horticulture. These skills not only help them provide for themselves and their children but also empower them to contribute to their communities.
We would be so grateful if you could support us — whether by donating or simply sharing this page — so together we can make a difference for these girls. Every contribution will go directly toward strengthening the CARA Rescue Centre and giving these young women the opportunities they deserve.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting them on this journey.
