Jessie still has a long road to recovery. 

Update from Brandon: Thank you for the continued prayers….we just got Jessie home a bit ago and she is already asleep!!! The ride home was a bit much to have her feet down for that period of time but otherwise good. She said the fresh air was great. And even though it was slow, she walked into the house by herself! She will continue to have dialysis tues/thurs/sat…so hopefully get some more of this fluid off. Only bad part is still no answer to why it happened.

Started Tuesday morning and Jessie had a headache. Then was throwing up. Had a bad stomach pain and went to the ER around midnight when she couldn't take it anymore. No answers there, but numbers were all over the place. Transferred us to Grand Island Wednesday and same type of outcome and she was getting worse. She was in Septic Shock. Thursday morning they flew her to Lincoln. They did emergency surgery to check bowels and guts (came back good). Sedated and paralyzed her (with medicine). Had 3 racks of IVs to her and a breathing tube. 3 hours later they said we forced her in and up the list and flying her to Omaha for liver transplant. Get here (Thursday night) they put transplant on hold and started kidney dialysis. Around 3 am they reversed the sedation and paralysis and Brandon got to talk to her for maybe a minute. She could nod her head since she still had the breathing tube. They then resedated her. Friday the numbers were all getting better and got her off the ventilator. Then today they unhooked constant dialysis and unhooked all 3 trees of medicine and she gets to eat food for the first time. She got out of ICU Saturday night around 10 and is now a step below that. Kidney doctor says acute kidney injury and liver doctor says he’s pretty sure her liver will make a full recovery also. Liver lost blood flow (for unknown reasons) and that affected kidneys is what I was told. Was told it’s a miracle she is recovering so well, let alone being here but she's a fighter!!!
