Help support the Avila family
Donation protected
This GoFundme is for Cristian and Eddie jr, family of Eddie Avila.
A loving husband, father, uncle, cousin, brother, nephew and son.
On Friday, September 22nd, Eddie fell critically ill and was taken to our local hospital where he was then transported and admitted into ICU.
With his close loved ones coming to see him everyday, and his biggest supporter by his side, his wife Cristian, Eddie fought to the very end. Unfortunately, he passed away in the early hours of October 2nd, 2023. Leaving behind his wife and son.
Eddie loved his job at Chinook Winds Casino and always worked hard to provide for his family.
Without his help, Cristian now has fallen to be the sole provider for her and their beloved son Eddie jr.
Since admitted into ICU, hrs away from home, his wife has not been able to work. Choosing instead to sleep in a cot in his ICU room to be right by Eddie’s side this entire time and spending any precious time they had left together, and sitting in the waiting room for hours with close family and friends when they came to visit and offer comfort and support .
Eddie loved his wife and son very much and everyone who knew him knew this. This is a very difficult time and Cristian is trying her best to not only navigate through her own grief of loosing her partner of 16 years, but also trying to help her son cope with losing his father.
In times like these where she shouldn’t have to worry about anything but grieving and making sure Eddie is brought home and put to rest, we are grateful for any donations as anything helps. All the money donated will go towards bills and medical expenses to take the burden off of Cristian’s already difficult time of grieving and so she can take some much needed time off to be there for her son who just lost the biggest role model in his life.
We never expect things to happen so quickly in life, especially the loss of a loved one who meant so much to a lot of people.
To everyone who has been there since he was admitted, Thank You very much, it meant a lot. Eddie knew he was loved and cared for ❤️
