I am Katy Alderman and I created this GoFundMe for my brother, John Applegate, along with my sister-in-law, Mira Applegate and their three children. John was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and has begun aggressive treatments at UVA. These funds will help pay for traveling expenses to UVA every two weeks, hospital bills, medical expenses, and everyday living expenses due to the inability to work for the next six months.
