Help Support Talyiah- A Life Forever Changed by Tragedy
Donation protected
On June 17th, 2025, the lives of two families were forever changed.
Talyiah, a kind, soft-spoken recent high school graduate with her whole life ahead of her, was involved in a tragic car accident that resulted in the passing of a beloved 65-year-old man. He was a pillar in his community—known for his generosity, his commitment to serving others, and his deep love for his family. His loss is heartbreaking, and our deepest condolences go out to his loved ones.
That day, Talyiah was driving her boyfriend’s car after picking him up from work—a simple, everyday action. While exiting the parking lot, what followed was an unimaginable accident, the kind that can happen in a matter of seconds. It wasn’t caused by recklessness, distraction, or impairment—there was no intent to harm, no disregard for safety. It was a devastating and unforeseeable outcome from a routine moment behind the wheel, one that could happen to anyone.
Unfortunately, because the vehicle was uninsured and she did not have her driver’s license physically on her at the time, Talyiah now faces multiple charges and is currently being held in jail on a $75,000 bond. We are hopeful that the truth will come to light through the legal process, but she cannot face this journey alone.
Talyiah is not defined by this moment. She is a young woman of strong character—gentle, respectful, and deeply compassionate. She’s never been in any trouble, never had a disciplinary issue, and has lived an incident-free teenage life. Just last year, she proudly walked across the graduation stage, filled with excitement about her future. She had plans to begin a career in the health and beauty industry—doing hair and makeup—and even had her first big trip planned to Hawaii this summer. She is a dreamer with a bright spirit, now living a nightmare no young person should have to bear.
Talyiah is not a criminal—she is a young woman burdened by an overwhelming grief, terrified, and deeply remorseful. She is someone’s daughter, sister, niece, and friend. She prays daily for the family who lost their loved one and grieves for them with the same heart that has always been full of compassion and care.
We are asking for your help to bring her home, to allow her to face this tragedy surrounded by her family, with legal support and emotional guidance. Donations will go toward her bond and legal defense as we walk this long road ahead.
If you’ve ever had a lapse in judgement behind the wheel, or if you believe in the power of second chances and grace, we ask that you consider donating, sharing, and keeping both families in your thoughts. This is a time for compassion, not condemnation.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. And thank you for believing that even in tragedy, healing and hope are possible.
With love and gratitude,
The Family of Talyiah Staton
