We never thought we would have to write something like this.
South West Meals on Wheels has been serving our community for 10 years—delivering meals, checking on our seniors, and making sure no one is forgotten. For many of the people we serve, we are the only face they see all day… sometimes all week.
But right now, we are in crisis.
Our rent is increasing from $500 to $2,000 a month—a jump we simply cannot absorb without help. This isn’t just a budget issue. This is the difference between staying open or having to cut back services to the very people who depend on us to eat.
These are your neighbors. Your parents. Your grandparents. People who cannot get out to shop or cook for themselves. People who rely on us not just for food—but for connection, safety, and care.
We are doing everything we can to keep going. But we cannot do this alone.
