Shanti is one of the most wise and resilient humans I have ever encountered. She is is an integral part of the Dragons community, especially in Nepal, and has touched the lives of so many students and colleagues through her compassion, strength, and warmth. Shanti has also been the main breadwinner for her family since she was very young. 

Today, we're asking the community to come together to support Shanti and her family in these difficult times. With COVID19 putting a halt to all international programs in Nepal, and thus causing Shanti to lose her job, her responsibilities of supporting her 7 family members are strained. 

This fund is to help support this family of 7 members in Nepal to get through the pandemic. The two young ones were in school but because of the pandemic their school was closed. Even though they are offering online schooling, they couldn't afford to do it because two sisters lost their jobs recently, and have been struggling to pay for the rent and food. The parents are old and they don't have any work to do now. Shanti would like to buy them textbooks, so they can at least self learn. But even this has been challenging.

True to Shanti's generous heart, she also intends to use these funds to support other members of her community that  have lost their jobs due to COVID if there are any remaining funds once she's paid for her families' immediate needs.
