Most of us in the special needs community know and love Shanel Tarrant‑Simone. As a single mom, she has devoted her life to full‑time caregiving for her 25‑year‑old, severely autistic twin sons, Brenden and Logan. She manages all of this with limited resources and no evening or weekend support.
Shanel faces some of the most intense, demanding caregiving situations imaginable. Every day, she pours love and care into her boys—without ever getting a real break.
Next spring, Shanel has a rare opportunity to take a long-overdue vacation. With your help, every contribution will ensure her boys are well cared for and help replace the lost income from their state aid while she’s away at Camp Chateau.
Let’s show Shanel that she is seen, valued, and appreciated. By giving her the chance to rest, we’re offering the gift of self-care—a gift every caregiver deserves.
Any amount—big or small—can make a meaningful difference in helping Shanel take this much-needed break. Thank you for your generosity and support.
