Help support Sandra and Kyle Shaw

Hi my name is Susie (Fouty) Cramer. I am Sandra Fouty Shaw’s sister. I just decided to create this go fund me page to help support Sandra and Kyle on their path to Kyle’s recovery. 

    Kyle and Sandy moved to Bloomington Indiana about nine months ago. Sandra took a job in marketing at Ivy Tech and Kyle took a job at a brand new rehab hospital developing their food service program.

    Kyle was in a tragic accident at work. He fell/slipped while at work standing on a counter about 3 feet off the ground cleaning an exhaust fan screen.

    Unfortunately, Kyle landed on his head/neck fractured C1 and displaced previously placed hardware in the C3-4 vertebrae. This caused him to have a cervical spinal cord injury. He was sent to the nearest trauma center in Indianapolis. He is currently on a ventilator and quadriplegic. We are really hoping and praying he is able to come off the ventilator and regain some mobility.

    Sandra has been at Kyle side since the accident. Their apartment is one hour and 15 minutes from the hospital. Sandra has had the burden of not being able to work, not receiving Kyle’s income, having to pay for hotels, meals and gasoline.

   Bloomington is a college town and the apartments are very expensive. Sandra is considering taking Kyle to Shirley Ryan rehab in Chicago. This is the number one rehab facility in the world and will give Kyle the best opportunity to recover. 

   This account will help support them until Kyle is able to go through rehab and hopefully be able to go home.
