Hi, My name is Crystal and I am close friend of Pony and Amanda's. As most of you know, in November 2023 Pony went to emerge with a migraine to only find out he had a large mass on his brain.....during that time, he had been waiting for biopsy from some Kidney issues he had been having. On Dec 1st 2023 he underwent brain surgery and while he was recovering his biopsy revealed that he had stage 4 Kidney Cancer.

After recovery from brain surgery he started immunotherapy which he was responding to well for almost a year but by January 2025 it had taken a turn and stopped working, he then had his 2nd surgery and had his kidney removed. Since recovering from that, he has done a few different treatments and they are taking a toll on his body, but he has his amazing partner Amanda who has been by his side caring for him every second of the day, which has resulted in her taking time off work without eligible leave. As of today, Pony's cancer has aggressively spread throughout his body and there is no sight of Amanda being able to return to work.

With numerous hospital visits, trips to Kelowna, day to day necessities and bills, it has really stretched them thin. I am hoping to get this out there to see if we can, as a community, help these amazing people out and give them one less thing to worry about.
