Update
I just wanted to share this update regarding Pheobe. Since her surgery, she has been experiencing significant pain due to her inability to have regular bowel movements. The situation became so severe that she had feces coming out of her NG tube, which she still has because of her extensive medication. On Wednesday, she was rushed to the hospital, where they discovered that her colon was no longer functioning. They had to perform emergency surgery to remove her colon and her large bowel and create a stoma bag. I spoke with Leanne, who mentioned that Pheobe's condition is now even more critical than after her initial major surgery. They are facing another long and challenging road to her recovery, which also means additional financial difficulties. I understand that it's the run up to the christmas season, and many are financially strained, but if anyone can spare any help to alleviate the financial burden they are facing once again, i know they would be immensely grateful.
As some of you may know little Phoebe was diagnosed with pancreatoblastoma a very rare childhood cancer at the age of 4. She has a tumor on her pancreas which at the start was 10cm, She has had 6 rounds of chemo, numerous Platelet and blood transfusions.
She is about to undergo major surgery to remove her spleen, bowel and she could lose all of her pancreas which will leave her diabetic and on medication for the rest of her life. On top of that Pheobe was born with Metaphyseal chondromatosis which is very rare disease which causes her to have lesions mainly effecting her right side leaving her limbs shorter and her in pain. However, alongside the emotional and physical toll, the cost of living and expenses have placed an immense burden on Leanne and Rikki.
As bills, hospital stays, and additional travel costs mount, the financial strain on them has become overwhelming. The continuous trips to the hospital, coupled with the necessary adjustments to their daily lives, have made it increasingly challenging for them to make ends meet… but that’s where we come in. We have established this GoFundMe campaign to rally together and provide a helping hand to Leanne and Rikki and their family. Our goal is to alleviate their financial burden, allowing them to focus solely on supporting Phoebe through her treatment and recovery without worrying about the costs associated with it.
Any contributions will directly support the family's day-to-day expenses and offer them the peace of mind they so desperately need.
