Help Support Penelope Marron
Donation protected
Last week Robbie & Samantha were hit with a parents worst nightmare, when 1 year old Penelope was taken ill to hospital unresponsive.
Following tests at the JR Hospital, Penelope was diagnosed with meningitis caused by a rare bacteria called Kingella Kingae. In this rare and unfortunate case the bacteria landed on her heart which sparked an infection into the brain, which lead to a stroke and therefore disabling the left side of her body.
She has undergone heart surgery this week & is currently in the ICU of Southamptons Childrens Hospital, far away from home in Banbury.
We have set this page up to help support Robbie and Samantha while they are travelling down to Southampton to be with Penelope while she is in Intensive Care. While Penelope fights the rest of the infection, she is likely to be there for weeks, even months.
Neither can work for the foreseeable & even when she is home, Penelope will need ongoing rehabilitation. This will mean Samantha cannot return to work any time soon. They still have Frank to care for through all this too, so any support you can give to the family is much appreciated.
The money will go to them to help support them with their mortgage, bills & everyday living, as well as travel to and from Southampton.
We know times are tight for everyone, but anything you could do to support this family it would be much appreciated.
