Hi, my name is Paula Tharp, and I’m starting this GoFundMe to help support my dad, Paul Tharp, during one of the most difficult times in our lives.

Paul is a kind, hardworking, and down-to-earth man who’s always been there for others—generous to a fault and someone who truly enjoys the simple things in life. He’s never been one to ask for help because he's quite a stubborn man, but right now, we’re facing challenges that we can’t overcome alone.

Back in August, Paul began having trouble breathing. After some tests, doctors found three nodules on his lungs. Things quickly worsened, and on September 26, 2025, he was hospitalized. He could no longer move around without difficulty, and his arm had become swollen and purple. Doctors discovered multiple blood clots forming throughout his body.

He’s still in the hospital, and we're waiting on further testing—there’s a possibility it could be cancer, though we won’t know for sure until more results come in. What we do know is that he won’t be able to return to work any time soon. Possibly never will.

Right now, I’m the only one working to support both of us, and it’s been extremely difficult to keep up with everyday bills, much less the additional expenses we’re beginning to face. We’re asking for any support—no matter how big or small—to help us cover living expenses and potential medical costs while my dad fights to recover.

Our goal is $10,000, but truly, any amount would be a blessing. If you’re not able to give, sharing this campaign would mean the world to us.
