Help Support Our Warrior: My Mom's Cancer Battle

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted individuals,

I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart to seek your support for my beloved mom, Tracie Lee Fawkes. She has been diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer (neuroendocrine carcinoma), which has spread all throughout her liver from a mass in her lung. We are still waiting for a PET scan appointment to determine if the cancer has spread elsewhere and future scans to determine the rate it is growing. While chemotherapy can prolong her life, it cannot cure her.

My mom is an incredible and loving daughter, mother, niece, and auntie. Despite our modest upbringing, she loved me unconditionally and instilled strong values in me. She taught me the importance of believing in myself, working hard, and caring for our community. Her influence has shaped who I am today.

My mom has been a dedicated fighter throughout her life, advocating for justice and serving the most vulnerable populations. She has worked tirelessly for non-profit organizations such as PEERS, Our Place, and Aids Vancouver Island. Unfortunately, she can no longer work due to her declining health, and our family faces financial challenges. We need assistance covering her living costs and travel expenses for appointments and treatments.

The loss of her income and the associated expenses have created significant financial stress for our family. That's why I humbly ask for your support to help ease this burden. Regardless of the amount, every donation will make a meaningful difference in her cancer journey and provide much-needed relief during this challenging time.
