Hi everyone, our names are Lily Williams and Lauren Knudsen. Over the course of this year, we have had the opportunity to work with many refugee families living in our local community. These connections have changed our lives in a variety of ways from developing strong connections with children and adults to understanding the challenges these New Americans face every day. Our work with these amazing people has led us to pursue a service trip to Tanzania, Africa this spring to work closely with young children at a childcare placement. We will be volunteering with the International Volunteer HQ program in Arusha, Tanzania. This program is focused on providing childcare and education in low-income, overcrowded communities with limited access to essential resources.

During this 2-week service trip, we will be working directly with children in a local school or childcare placement while also supporting the teacher with creating lessons and engaging activities.

To make this trip possible, we are looking for financial support to help cover program costs, travel, and resources for the childcare facility. Thank you for your support in helping us reach this goal.
