Help Support Our mum in her brave Battle !

Hello, my name is Karly Rawnsley and I’m reaching out on behalf of my beautiful mum, a woman who has shown nothing but strength, love, and courage throughout her life.

In 2019, we lost my dad to cancer — a heartbreaking time that shook our family. My mum, even in the face of unimaginable grief, held our family together.

My mum has raised me and my two brothers with unwavering love, teaching us kindness, resilience, and compassion. And is just genuinely the best person I know!

In 2021, she was hospitalized in ICU with a serious health crisis that changed her life forever. But she fought through, showing us once again just how strong she is. Unfortunately, our lives took another painful turn: was diagnosed with Brain cancer but was told she had a fighting chance.

After 3 surgeries in 4 months one being 11 hours, and 30 rounds of radiation that was Monday-Friday for 6 weeks my mum was hospitalised to find out that the cancer has spread, this again another punch to the guts as she had been fighting so hard.. but this time we where told her only option was immunotherapy which was hopefully going to keep the cancer at bay or shrink the tumours. On June 18.06.25 we were told that the immunotherapy isn’t working and there is nothing anyone can do..

This diagnosis has been devastating. As her daughter, I’ve stepped into the role of her carer. I wouldn’t be anywhere else but by her side — she needs me and my family now more than ever. But because of this, I’ve had to stop working, and we are struggling financially to cover the basic needs:and day-to-day living expenses. Being my mum can not receive NDIS due to her concerns being medical and she can not receive my aged care due to being too young we are very much stuck & i am wanting to take as much stress as possible off her shoulders!!

We are asking for any help you can give. Whether it’s $5 or just a share of this page, every little bit helps ease the pressure on our family during this heartbreaking time. My mum has given so much of herself to everyone around her — now we’re hoping the kindness she’s shown can come back to her.
