Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out to ask for support for our incredible mom, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine mammogram. As this was a complete shock to our family, we never imagined we’d be here, asking for help. As a single mother of four, our mom has always been our strength. Now, it's our turn to be hers.

Yesterday she underwent a double mastectomy and is currently recovering before starting chemotherapy. Following that, she will face additional surgery for reconstruction and potentially radiation. While she has some saved sick days to cover the next couple of months, she will be without income until the start of next year. Unfortunately, she hasn't been able to receive disability benefits, and the last thing we want her to worry about is money.

All four of us are home, juggling work and school, doing everything we can to support her, but our combined efforts aren’t enough to keep everything afloat while she’s out of work. We have an amazing support system already and we are beyond grateful. We’re doing everything we can, but any additional help would be extremely appreciated.

Our mom has raised us single-handedly since we were toddlers, working tirelessly, including overtime shifts and summer jobs as a school security guard to ensure we always had a roof over our heads and never went without. She shielded us from the financial hardships she faced, but as we've grown older, we've come to understand the immense sacrifices she made.

At this point, it's hard to predict how long this journey will take or the total costs involved. We've set an initial fundraising goal to cover immediate needs and will adjust it as necessary. Any support, be it through donations, sharing our story, or kind words mean the world to us.
