Thank you for your prayers, texts, gifts of kindness, and gifts of love this entire year.
Eric my love has been a blessing in my life since the day I met him. He has been the balance I needed. God blessed our union with two beautiful sons, Harrison and John.
May 6, 2023 changed our paths dramatically.
I started my morning with The Word, a refreshing run, then quickly made brunch for us. Eric started his day making us coffee, sharing a few loving words and 18 holes of golf. We ventured to the airport with our youngest son,
John. We shared the most memorable embrace and set off on our adventure with John.
The love of flying is unmatched for most who have soared in the sky.
A tragic turn of events, the airplane crashed and caught on fire. John and Tandi were able to escape the engulfing fires. Eric went to be with our Heavenly Father.
John was medevaced to Parkland Hospital in Dallas…Tandi was ambulanced to Parkland hospital…
Tandi was on the burn floor for 1 month-ICU-skin grafting of burned areas (18% body burned and skin grafted). The dislocated hip injury and sciatica injury resulted in a drop foot and the challenge of learning to walk again.
John was in the burn ICU for most of 5 months - initial TBSA (Total Body Surface Area) 47.5% of his body burned, mostly 3rd degree burns. This included all of his left arm, hand, left torso, thighs, and face. Medical terms integrated, BTM, allograft, recell, graft failure, contractures, hypertrophic scarring, flap tissue transfer, skin donor sites became a new language for our family.
The journey in the burn floor of Parkland has included John learning to breathe on his own, eat, walk, continuing try use his left arm and hand. In excess of 35 surgeries, we anticipate continued surgeries for functional purposes.
We continue physical therapy and occupational therapy as
our life in the burn recovery continues.
We are so grateful for the beautiful encouraging staff pouring positive energy into us while tending to our physical injuries.
My dearest friends

I have thought extensively about this venture..GoFundMe…

Please if you gift monies, enter $0 on the gratuity line per instructions I read recently.
We love you and graciously accept whatever gifts you grant us.
God Bless you all.
Please…give those warm smiles to others, embrace your loved ones, tell those in your life you appreciate them
for we do not know what tomorrow holds…
Tandi
