Help Support Our Family During Unpaid Maternity Leave

Along with all the excitement of our second daughter’s arrival comes financial stressors. Unfortunately, I have not been with my employer long enough to qualify for CA’s FMLA program, about 1 month short to be exact. This means the loss of half our household income while I am unable to work.

I will be out until mid-February due to planning for potential blood transfusions after labor due to alarmingly low iron levels. The complications of this pregnancy made me stop work suddenly before my planned departure date. Our close family knows we don’t ask for help lightly, but any little bit helps, especially with our rent increasing in the new year!
