Mya is a cherished member of the queer community here in Vancouver — not only an incredible performer, but a genuinely kind‑hearted, generous, and radiant soul.

My partner and I have had the joy of watching them grow both as a person and as a performer during their time in Canada, and we couldn’t be more proud of who they are and the light they bring to every space they enter.

Like many wonderful people in our community, Mya is not originally from Canada. Immigration is a complicated, lengthy, and extremely costly process, and the legal fees required to move forward have become a significant barrier.
