Help support my sister in her time of loss

It is with a very heavy heart that I am writing this. Never in my wildest imagination did I think I would be doing a Go Fund Me of this nature. But on November 13th, 2023, my sister Francesca’s husband died suddenly at the age of 49, tragically leaving behind two young children (ages 9 and 2).

James and my sister had been together for over 20 years, and his death has been a crushing blow to her. To make matters worse, he died without a will or life insurance, and in the wake of his passing a number of legal issues have come to light that threaten to completely upend my sister’s life. Currently, she is in probate, their bank accounts are frozen, and the state is attempting to seize their property.

In the blink of an eye, my amazing little sister Francesca became a widow and single mother to two young children, with no money, no income and, very possibly, no assets.

I decided to start this Go Fund Me in the hope of generating enough donations to help support my sister and her children during this extremely difficult time, and to assist her with the significant legal fees required to attend to her husband’s estate. Our hope is that she is able to provide some semblance of stability for her children at this time, as she starts over and figures out issues of employment, income, and housing.

Because she is in active litigation, we cannot provide further details at the moment, but she would like to share the full story when she is able to.
