Dear Friends and Family,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support as my family navigates through some incredibly difficult times. Since 2017, my dad has been battling serious health issues that have drastically impacted our lives. He became an amputee due to complications from diabetes, and by 2020, his condition worsened to the point where he was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Stage 5. He now requires dialysis three times a week just to stay alive. To make matters worse, in 2024, his eyesight deteriorated, further limiting his independence and quality of life.

Through all of this, my mom has been his rock, taking care of him with unwavering love and dedication. But now, my mom is facing a battle of her own. In 2025, she started losing her voice, and doctors initially attributed it to stress and acid reflux. But by March, she could no longer speak and could hardly breathe. After a series of tests, the devastating news came: my mom has laryngeal cancer. Unfortunately, the only way to treat this is by removing her entire larynx, and the only way for her to breathe will be through a permanent tracheostomy tube.

To make matters even more difficult, my parents are living in the Philippines, where medical procedures and medications can be very expensive. The financial burden of both my dad's ongoing treatment and my mom’s cancer surgery is overwhelming, and we’re struggling to keep up with these costs.

As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly overwhelming time for our family. My parents are facing multiple serious health challenges, and the emotional, physical, and financial toll is enormous. My mom’s cancer treatment will be costly, and both she and my dad will need ongoing care and support as they continue their health journeys.
