Hi everyone,

I’m fundraising on behalf of my great uncle Jan, who is special needs and is preparing for a major spinal surgery. This surgery is necessary for his health and quality of life, but the costs that come with it are overwhelming for my family.

My grandma is Jan’s primary caregiver, and she is under a huge amount of stress right now. She works two jobs to support both Jan and my great-grandmother, who is currently on hospice care. After his surgery, Jan will need to stay in a nursing home for recovery, which adds even more financial strain.

Jan attends a wonderful program called Ray of Sunshine, a center for individuals with special needs that has truly helped him thrive, but with everything happening at once, the expenses are becoming too much for my grandma to manage alone.

I’m hoping to raise funds to help cover:

• Jan’s spinal surgery costs

• His nursing home stay during recovery

• Additional care expenses so my grandma doesn’t have to carry this burden alone
