Hello, I'm looking to help support my girlfriend's family through the Chicago ICE raids.

After a very close call with ICE just yesterday, my girlfriend’s parents have had to step away from work for an indefinite amount of time. In less than a year ice has conducted multiple raids in their city, jobs, and schools. They're a family of 5 with two cats. Only one member can safely work, and even then he runs the risk of being racially profiled and targeted by ICE. He’s already had a close call himself on school grounds of all places.

They’re truly the kindest people you could ever meet. Even in times of desperate need they all step aside to give others the opportunities they could easily take themselves. They’re resilient, compassionate, and endlessly empathetic. I’m making this for them because they’re the kind of people who, even after everything they’ve been through, would undoubtedly say that others deserve this attention more.

I want to help pitch in for their rent, groceries, and general needs. I'm only one person and I try to help where I can, but I'm studying states away with only a part-time job to help cover for myself. Please help me help them. They deserve so much better than what this country is doing to them.
