Join me in supporting someone incredibly special—Ms. Tanesha, or Ms. Nesha as my son calls her, a devoted preschool teacher who has touched the lives of countless young children with her kindness, patience, and love. Ms. Tanesha is a young Haitian woman who has been working tirelessly to build a better life here in the United States. Between sudden immigration law changes and visa complications, today’s immigration process is overwhelming to navigate alone. She has found a lawyer to help but it comes with high legal and filing fees.
In the midst of working full time as a preschool teacher and adding as many babysitting hours as possible to cover the expenses, Ms. Tanesha was hospitalized unexpectedly due to a ruptured ovarian cyst complicated by an ovarian torsion requiring emergency surgery. As you can imagine, this medical event has taken a toll not only physically but also financially.
If you’ve ever met Ms. Tanesha, you know she is the heart of her classroom. Her days are filled with wiping little tears, cheering on first steps, and helping young minds discover joy in learning. She’s the kind of teacher who remembers every child’s favorite color, notices the quiet ones, and celebrates each tiny milestone like it’s a victory. Her compassion and dedication ripple far beyond the classroom walls.
Ms. Tanesha is humble, generous, and always the one looking after others; she is not one to ask for help. That's why we are asking on her behalf.
If Ms. Tanesha has ever made your child feel safe, seen, or loved—or if you simply believe in supporting the people who shape our future—please consider giving what you can.
Let’s come together to lift up someone who has given so much to our little ones.
