Hello, I’m Anne, a Mom who volunteers to take pictures at Mounds View Mustangs sporting events. I upload and share the photos, free of charge. It is a little hobby that I like to call, “Mounds View’s Mom’s View.”

I started volunteering during my son’s first tackle football season. To ease my own anxiety over such a violent contact sport, I decided that being present on the sidelines and the proximity to my boy would allow me a more enjoyable experience. So I volunteered to be on the chains and decided to dust off an old camera to snap some pictures. I remembered why I own a camera, because I love taking pictures and I ended up capturing some pretty awesome moments to share with a team’s worth of parents. Eventually, others volunteered to work the chains and I kept taking the pictures.

My son and his teammates are now in high school. They are faster, jump higher, and are making bigger plays. I’ve started taking pictures of some of the players’ younger siblings in their games and have even been asked to take family photos.

To be able to give quality photos and capture the big plays, I am looking to replace my old camera. Technology has advanced and so have prices.
