Help Support Michelle, Max & Sam After the Loss of Lee

We are heartbroken to share the sudden and unexpected passing of our dear friend, Lee, at just 48 years old. Lee was a devoted husband, loving father, son, brother, and a cherished friend to so many. His warmth, humour, and kindness left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

Lee leaves behind his wife Michelle, and their two wonderful sons, Max and Sam, who now face life without the steady, loving presence of their husband and father. He also leaves his father Rino, and sister Sarah, who are deeply mourning the loss of their son and brother.

This loss has devastated Lee’s family and community. In the midst of their grief, Michelle is now faced with the heavy burden of managing unexpected funeral expenses, ongoing school fees for Max and Sam, and the pressures of day-to-day life without Lee.

All of us within the communities the Verrusio family are part of, have felt the immense loss of Lee and many of us are asking what we can do to help and support the family during this time of sadness and loss.

We’ve created this GoFundMe to rally around Michelle and the boys — to offer them some financial relief so Michelle can focus on being there for Max and Sam without the immediate pressure of returning to work. Your support will go toward:

• Covering funeral and memorial expenses

• Supporting school fees and educational costs for Max and Sam

• Assisting with household expenses and daily living costs during this painful transition

• Supporting the family’s access to bereavement counselling

• Unexpected loss of income

Lee and Michelle always gave generously of themselves to those they loved. Now, we have the chance to give something back — to support the beautiful family he’s left behind in their time of greatest need. All funds will go directly to Michelle.
