Help Support Michael and Alexandria

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,

We all mourn the loss of Rebecca. Mother, fiancee, daughter, sister and friend to so many. She was taken from us after giving birth to beautiful little Alexandria. Her death is so tragic but she has left little Alex to carry on her memory.

Her loss is this manner is incomprehensible and has left Michael to raise little Alex alone. There are no words that can describe what Michael is going through. Michael is an Afghanistan Vet and suffers from PTSD and Rebecca's death has made it very difficult for him. We ask you to consider a donation to help Michael support and raise Little Alex.

Their Story:

Michael served in the US Army Infantry and was a part of Operation Enduring Freedom. He left the Army, leaving the physical war behind, but fights a new war daily in PTSD. Michael met Rebecca 10 years ago and fell so far in love that the PTSD started to fade away. He had the love of Rebecca to push him forward. Rebecca gave him meaning and love. I have never seen Michael happier than when he was with her. They often talked about getting married and having a baby together and were finally getting that chance. I will never forget the day that Rebecca told us she was pregnant, how exited she was and how she just beamed with pride.

On the morning of Tuesday, March 10th, Michael woke to find Rebecca on the floor unconscious and unresponsive. He called 911 and had her rushed to the Hospital. Rebecca was still nearly 7 weeks from her due date, but the situation was critical. Michael and Rebecca lived only 5 to 10 minutes from the Hospital, but by the time Michael got there, they had already performed an emergency C-Section. Little Alexandria was rushed to the RNICU unit at Covenant Hospital in distress. The team of nurses and doctors were able to stabilize Alexandria, but she remains in the RNICU and is continuing to amaze us with her strength and will to recover.

After the C-section, Rebecca never fully regained consciousness. The Doctors worked on Rebecca for 5 hours trying to keep Rebecca with us. But were unsuccessful. Rebecca passed leaving Michael and the entire family devastated. Michael is now faced with raising little Alexandria as a single Daddy.

Michael holds on to the new love in his life and faces each day knowing that she is his sole purpose now. This little one is what keeps him moving forward. Faced with being a single father is difficult enough, but Michael is also faced with the memory of Rebecca each year that will follow, knowing that Alexandria's birthday is also the day that he lost Rebecca, the love of his life. And as timing would have it, Rebecca's funeral service is on Michael's Birthday, March 17th. This will be a life time of sorrow for him and little Alexandria each year.

Their baby shower was planned for March 28th, but due to the situation, it is uncertain what will happen. Please consider helping Michael with the expenses of raising Alexandria. Any donation big or small can help to ensure that Alexandria has the care she needs to grow. Thank you so much for any support you can give.
