On April 26, 2021 Melissa and CJ gave birth to their beautiful baby boy, Brayden Charles Laperle. Brayden was born via emergency c-section, aspirated meconium and needed to be resuscitated at birth. He was intubated and transferred to Boston Children’s Hospital that same day. Later that night Melissa was able to be transferred to Brigham and Women’s which is connected to Boston Children’s Hospital where she was able to visit Brayden and be with CJ again. Brayden remains in critical condition. MRI results revealed Brayden had suffered severe brain damage. Right now Melissa and CJ are cherishing every moment they can with baby Brayden. Nobody wants to think about medical bills during a time like this but we’re hoping this will ease some of the burden, especially since they are staying at a nearby hotel to be close to Brayden.
