Dear friends and family,

I’m reaching out to ask for your support for our dear friend Meagan, who is facing overwhelming family and financial challenges. Her husband has a chronic medical condition and most recently has required extensive medical treatment which has prevented him from working. He is a talented chef, but the restaurant industry lacks benefits and his livelihood depends entirely on his ability to show up for work. He has been out of work since September 22nd and is not expected to return to work full-time for multiple months.

Meagan is already juggling two jobs while caring for her two elementary-aged children and her aging mother who also lives with her and is housebound. With the loss of her husband’s income—and mounting medical bills—the financial burden has become overwhelming and she is in a position she cannot manage alone.

Your donation will directly help provide stability and peace of mind to a person who gives so much to others but now needs our help.

Immediate needs include: paying the mortgage and utilities on time to keep all five family members sheltered and warm over the upcoming winter; paying for ongoing surgeries/hospitalizations, visiting nurse/in-home services, and outpatient services for her husband; and supporting afterschool programming to keep her young children thriving while Meagan continues to work.

Our goal is to raise enough to help Meagan stay afloat while her husband recovers and to provide a safety net in the event he cannot return to full-time employment. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference.
