Hi Friends and Family!

I’m creating this GoFundMe for one of the most selfless people I know—my best friend, Maura.

Maura was at my home helping me put up decorations for an early New Year’s Eve kids’ party when she fell from a ladder and landed hard on her right wrist. The fall resulted in a serious break, and on Monday, January 5th, Maura underwent surgery to place a plate and screws in her wrist. She is now facing recovery time, follow-up care, and mounting medical expenses related to her injury.

If you know Maura, you know this is someone who always shows up. She takes such loving care of Aiden and me, and she is the first person to help a friend whenever they’re in need—without hesitation. She gives endlessly to others, and now it’s our turn to show up for her.

In addition to healing from this unexpected accident, Maura is also in the middle of her fertility journey and actively trying to get pregnant. IVF and fertility treatments already come with significant financial and emotional stress, and this injury has added an unplanned burden.

The goal of this fundraiser is to help cover Maura’s medical bills from the accident and surgery, so she doesn’t have to use the savings she’s worked so hard to set aside for IVF and her dream of becoming a mom.
