More than an amazing charity, a real place of hope.

Matthew's house provides hot meals, much needed support, supplies, laundry and most importantly a friendly smile and safe place to be for the homeless, low income families and others in need.

For the past several years, me and my friends have helped support Matthew's House reverse advent calendar.

Where every year around Christmas they ask people to generously donate much needed supplies to help them carry out the amazing work they do. We've raised over £4,000 in that time and try to go bigger every year.

What started as collecting spare food tins and unused items, snowballed into a fundraising effort shared across friends, families and colleagues that let's us do a 'mega shop' every December.

All funds raised go directly to purchasing much-needed supplies, including food, warm clothing, and hygiene products. These essentials help Matthew’s House provide hot meals and a welcoming space for people who need a little extra support, especially during the cold winter months.

I’ve had the privilege of volunteering at Matthew’s House and have seen firsthand the incredible impact it has.

For those that have nobody else, and nowhere to go to see them enjoy a Christmas dinner in great company is simply amazing.

☺️Beyond a meal, they find a place of hope and access to support that can help them get back on their feet.

The supplies we provide don’t just help at Christmas, they make a difference well into the new year, touching many lives and offering comfort when it’s needed most.

Christmas is a time for giving, and Matthew’s House truly embodies the spirit of charity.
