I’m writing this on behalf of my mum my name is Krystal, her daughter and we’re reaching out to ask for help and support.

Our beautiful mum Linda, has recently been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a rare form of blood cancer that affects the bones and immune system.

For months, Mum had been suffering from constant back and rib pain, but in true Linda fashion, she just kept pushing through. She continued to go to work every day, putting on a brave face and taking care of everyone around her. Unfortunately, one day she had a fall that changed everything. After several tests and scans, we received the devastating news that the pain she had been enduring was due to cancer that has spread to her back, ribs, and hips.

Since her diagnosis, life has changed drastically. Mum is now using a walker or wheelchair to get around as even simple daily tasks have become incredibly difficult due to the pain and bone damage caused by the cancer.

She’s in the middle of continuous treatments, including chemotherapy and frequent hospital visits. Early next year, she’ll also need to undergo a stem cell transplant on the Gold Coast, which will require her to stay in hospital for several weeks. The entire process has been incredibly tough on her, both physically and emotionally.

Mum has worked her entire life and has always been the most giving, hardworking, and caring person never one to ask for help. But with her being unable to work now, the financial strain is growing heavier. Between medical expenses, hospital trips, and everyday bills, things have become really challenging.

We’ve created this to ask for some support to help Mum focus on what truly matters her recovery, comfort, and quality of life. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly towards her transport to hospital appointments, medications, and daily living expenses while she is unable to work.
