Hi Everyone. My name is Lyndsay, myself and my friend Michelle are running a 10km on 1/6/25 to raise as much money for Lily and her family.

On 11th February 2025, the family have had their lives flipped upside down after learning that her little girl had cancer, words a parent and their child should ever have to hear.

Lily went in to Alder Hey with a sore ankle on 10th February to get it checked over, Lily was told that she had an infection in her leg and would need IV antibiotics and an overnight stay, X-rays showed no injury.

The following morning she had an MRI scan, that afternoon Drs took her mum into a room and told her the devastating news. They shared that Lily had cancer in multiple areas of her body and she would need biopsies to confirm.

On the 14th February she had the biopsies and the devastating news was confirmed on the 19th.

Lily was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Lukemia with unusual presentation as she also has hard tumors. The cancer had also caused her leg to break.

Lily then immediately started intense chemo therapy, which will be for around 25 months.

Her Mum, a hard working single mum lost her job 24 hours after the diagnosis as she was not able to say how long she would be off work to care for her daughter.

her mum is not able to claim benefits until 3 months after the diagnosis therefore there are experiencing financial hardship on top of this unimaginable time.

Before this diagnosis Lily was an energetic bubbly little girl who lived life to its fullest, she enjoyed playing with her little sister and going to school seeing friends, both of which she cant do at the moment.
