Hello everyone,

A member of our Howard County General Hospital team, Wendy Black, was tragically taken from us on Saturday, December 11, 2021. Her quiet demeanor and strong presence was felt throughout our Anesthesiology Department as well as the entire Peri-operative Services Department. 

She is survived by her two beautiful daughters Laila and Amira. Wendy adored and doted on these two and was excited as she watched them grow and learn. She would often show pictures of their current hairstyles and share stories about their latest adventures. 

These young girls have lost their mother in this senseless act. In an attempt to ease their burden, we have created this Gofundme. The funds from donations will be placed in a trust. We would like to have the trust set up prior to Wendy’s funeral on December 27, 2021 so that we can present it to the family.

Many people have asked how they can help and what they can do. This Gofundme was created so that those in Wendy’s work community can contribute to the support and success of her children. It is not intended, nor will it be used, to compete with any other donations collected to support the family.
