Kristalina and her 4-year-old daughter, Ellianna, were recently involved in the devastating bounce house accident at the Zae Day event in downtown Klamath Falls. They had only been at the event for approximately three minutes when a sudden gust of wind lifted the bounce house, with Ellianna and several other children inside, approximately 30 feet into the air.

Kristalina desperately ran after the bounce house, trying to reach her daughter. During the chaos, Kristalina was struck by a flying canopy and knocked to the ground, landing on her stomach while 7 months pregnant. Despite being injured, she continued desperately trying to find her daughter. People around her were saying all of the children were out, but Ellianna was nowhere to be found. She was the last child still trapped underneath the bounce house until someone finally spotted her and was able to pull her out from underneath.

Both Kristalina and Ellianna were transported by ambulance for medical evaluation and treatment. Ellianna suffered significant bruising and soreness and is struggling with the emotional trauma of what she experienced.

As a result of the accident, Kristalina suffered a concussion and tore a ligament in her groin, in addition to the concerns surrounding the impact to her stomach while pregnant. Her unborn baby has required close monitoring following the accident.

Kristalina has now been placed on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy, leaving her unexpectedly unable to work and without the income her family depends on while she recovers, keeps her unborn baby safe, and helps Ellianna heal physically and emotionally.
