Joe Bernaudo is a son, brother, uncle, great uncle, god father, and proud “#1 uncle” to his nieces and nephew. He has always been the heart of his family; kind, funny, and deeply loved.

In January, Joe suffered a severe heart attack that required multiple stents and device procedures. His heart went into failure, and he was placed on the transplant list. Miraculously, Joe received the call for a new heart sooner than expected.

Joe selflessly donated his own heart to science so researchers can better understand heart failure and improve treatment for others.

Right now, Joe is just 7 days post-transplant. He has faced complications, including transplant graft dysfunction, and remains on life support while undergoing multiple surgeries. His recovery will be a long and uncertain journey, but his family is staying by his side every step of the way.

We are asking for help to support Joe’s family with the overwhelming costs of travel, and time away from work so they can continue to be with him through this fight. Any contribution, big or small, will help ease the financial burden and allow his loved ones to focus on what matters most, being there for Joe.
