On Saturday, 26th July, local lad and Cefn Albion player Jamie Foulkes suffered a devastating injury during a Welsh Cup fixture, dislocating his ankle and fracturing both his tibia and fibula. He now faces a lengthy recovery and will undergo surgery next week to have metalwork inserted.

Jamie will be unable to work for a significant period of time and, heartbreakingly, has also had to cancel a long-awaited family holiday, losing the deposit in the process. As a dad, the hardest part for Jamie has been telling his kids they’re no longer going away, and that’s hit him even harder than the injury.

Jamie is a much-loved member of the Cefn Mawr and Cefn Albion community, both on and off the pitch, and now it's our turn to give something back.
